A mill in Po park

The requalification of Borgo Cornalese's mill integrates a wider city plan, which contemplates the salvaging of the whole rural village for housing purpose. The project considers an educational museum centre to revaluate and rediscover the ancient art of the mill by refurbishing the original machineries, and the production of flour with new machineries located in the ancient wood workshop, once powered by the mill itself. The flour production will go along with agricultural products: from the producer to the consumer, the refurbishment is aimed at bringing back to life this ancient production chain which made this place unique, self-sufficient and independent. As the last link of the chain, the project considers adding a restaurant where to enjoy the mill's products, as well as a tourist accommodation
